This powerful loop-handle gas trimmer is built with a semi-automatic choke lever, offering a simplified starting procedure.

Equipped with a simplified starting procedure, the FS 251 R was built for pros with no time to waste. Designed with a powerful low exhaust emission engine, the FS 251 R saves on fuel and operating costs without losing any of the power. The FS 251 R combines its rugged design with versatile features such as the loop handle, ideal for trimming between bushes and shrubs and other hard to reach areas, to provide you with a heavy-duty tool that provides optimal maneuverability to handle a variety of situations. Equipped with a vertically-pleated paper air filter that provides an extended service life, you can get to work quicker and count on the gas trimmer to last longer.

The STIHL FS 251 R trimmer has been upgraded to deliver more cutting power and greater efficiency. Its new high-torque gearbox provides 13.5% more torque, allowing for faster, cleaner cuts through thick grass and brush. The cutting radius has been expanded from 16.5" to 17.7", helping users cover more ground with fewer passes. A redesigned deflector with skirt complements the wider radius, improving debris control and trimming precision. The gearhead has been angled to 35 degrees for improved ergonomics.

Purge Pump Primer

Simplified Starting Procedure

• To get started, users simply pump the fuel primer, set the choke, and pull the starter cord. The built-in stop switch allows the user to turn off the engine with a simple press of the button. When the engine is off, the throttle lock automatically returns to the "start" setting. The tool will be ready to start again when the user is ready to get back to work.

TapAction™ AUTOCUT® Cutting Head

• TapAction™ allows users to adjust the line length simply by tapping the cutting head against the ground.

Throttle Trigger Interlock
